This was an impromptu inspection that was recommended to me by another buyer.  Greg did a thorough review of the house and provided helpful suggestions as we went along.  The report was completed and e-mailed the following day.  Greg was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions without making me feel stupid!  This inspection was well worth the money spent and implementing the suggestions will no doubt save money over and above the cost of the inspection.

Greg always does a thorough inspection with loads of photos to help buyers visualize the problem.  His thermal imaging "sees" through the walls, and provides more information than any other inspector.

My Wife and I had Greg from GCS Home Inspections inspect our brand new home in Plumas Lake last month (August 2008). We wanted to have the inspection done before the builder walk through. I sent Greg an email with all of the home information and was given an estimate within just a few hours. Greg was able to quote me a price for the inspection online with all of the home information I had provided. The price we paid was very reasonable for the high level of service and the attention to detail Greg provided. Greg arrived early for our inspection and had completed all the exterior inspection prior to our arrival. Greg spend no less than 4 hours inspecting our home. Everything was run through with a fine tooth comb and nothing was overlooked. The problems Greg found wrong with the home could have cost my Wife and I alot more than his small fee in future repairs or heating/cooling bills. But because we had an extremly detailed inspection report with pictures we were able to address all of the problems to the builder during our walk though. Since then the builder has corrected all problems Greg had found. The final inspection report (no less than 30 pages) was completed and email to us that same night we had the inspection done. Greg took time to explain how things should work and was extremely helpful. His knowledge and skill is obvious and his attention to detail is not lacking. GCS was the first Home Inspected we contacted and after reading Greg’s Bio and talking with Greg over the phone we knew we didn’t have to look for any further. It was refreshing to have an honest person who did what the said they would do and even exceeded our expectations. My wife and I highly recommend GCS Home Inspections!
