A flat roof is the only true waterproof roof.  A sloped roofed is designed to be water resistant, and for the most part it is.  Unfortunately, a flat roof requires constant maintenance to ensure it remains waterproof.  Here in Northern CA we're experiencing lots of rain, and though we need it, the flat roof may leak.  I've been to two businesses in the last couple days spotting where the roof is leaking.  I'm using my thermal camera to find the areas presenting these problems.  Infrared is an incredible technology and finding moisture is just one small aspect of its capabilities.
